Siem Reap

To bring us up to speed while we have good internet we had 3 nights/2 days in Siem Reap.

The first day we explored Angkor Wat and the temples around it. This was a really neat experience and hopefully later we add more about it. We had a private driver for this trip as the temples are a ways apart from each other. We spent about 5 hours looking around and trying to soak up as much history as possible. After we had seen as much as we could take with the heat we went back to the hotel to rest And wash up for our evening.

One of Sith’s local Cambodian friends recommended we go see a circus nearby. This was an amazing experience and possibly the best show I’ve ever seen. The talent, story and enthusiasm were all phenomenal. It was put on by a school of students who are primarily orphans or very poverty stricken. The students are taken in and given free education and training in certain art fields.

Is that a dinosaur?

We didn’t get many photos of the circus because we thought it was against the rules.
