Life as a Local in Syros, Greece

Terrible internet in this hostel is my excuse for not posting much.  

For those worried about my finger that the bird bit, it is healing fine. It kinda looks like I had a hang nail.

Jeanette’s quest in every market is too find mangosteen.  We learned that they were out of season in Nong Chang, but that didn’t stop her.  Here is what they look like; she was very excited to find this beauty.  

She failed to haggle down the cost of the fish cooking on the grill in front of her.  She ended up walking away as a last effort to get the guy to come down.  We will just have to pay full price next time.
