On day 3 in Chiang Mai, we booked a ziplining adventure at a cost of 1900 baht per person (or about $55). The course was made up of 35 platforms and took about 2.5 hours to go through – probably 4 sections of obstacles and 4 straight drops with the rest as ziplines. I was very impressed with our guides. We were 100% tied off at all times, and they did all of the fastening to make sure it was done correctly.
I felt like James Bond flying through the trees. Mainly because one of our guides reminded me of Jaws the henchman in Moonraker and The Spy Who Loved Me (see video of Jeanette for a look at him). He was actually hilarious.
The bamboo sticks that you see us holding are our brakes.
The rest of the day was spent in Old Town wandering the night markets.
